Flower Bar Brooch

Hand fabricated metal flower on bar brooch.

 

This brooch is from a collection of conceptual works inspired by an antique bar brooch with a large central Citrine stone that I inherited from my paternal grandmother when she passed away. This style of brooch dates back to the Victorian era and is a common heirloom. I am always captivated by heirlooms and keepsakes and the connection felt when wearing jewellery that carries such significance.

  

The pin is made of gold to emphasise the piercing element. 

 

Mixed metals. Recycled sterling silver flower and bar with 9ct yellow gold rivet and pin.

 

22mm X 22mm X 10mm flower on 1.5mm square bar. Total length including bar 58mm.

This piece may have a rare or seasonal lost wax casting element or is part of a conceptual collection. Once sold, it is unlikely to be available again.
